Ann Adams

Ann Y. Adams brings more than 40 years of broad-based business experience in a variety of industries and a passion to share that expertise with her clients.  Ann provides business advisory services, guides strategic plan development, provides training in the areas of Strategic Planning / Implementation and Critical Thinking / Decision Making and facilitates retreats for boards and management teams.

In her early career, she experienced the full range of functional responsibilities as manager of a small manufacturing firm and then as co-owner and operator of a residential construction company.  The majority of her career was spent with American Commercial Lines where her responsibilities focused on Operations and Corporate Planning and Strategy.  She held officer-level positions there from 1998 until 2005 when she shifted her focus to work with start up and growth for-profit companies and non-profit organizations.

She believes that her experience with all phases of strategic planning – developing, implementing, monitoring – allows her to facilitate sessions resulting in strategies that are both future-oriented and actionable, with appropriate success metrics.  Ann is an active community volunteer and has served on the boards of Spalding University Board of Overseers, Family Scholar House and the Peterson-Dumesnil House.  She currently serves as Vice President/Planning of the Clifton Cultural Center Board of Directors and as Vice President of the Frankfort Avenue Business Association.

A graduate of Truman University with a Bachelors degree in Education, Ann earned an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Business.
