Leigh A. Perry

An accomplished professional with more than 30 years of experience, Leigh has a varied background working for Fortune 100s, non-profit organizations and the public sector. Leigh is a 'connector' with the proven ability to develop relationships with all types of people of all ages in diverse professions and all walks of life. Leigh's excellent listening and communication skills help her create structure out of chaos, ultimately achieving buy-in and creating success for everyone.

Leigh began her fundraising career in a centralized setting at Murray State University (MSU) as associate director of development, one of only two full time fundraisers for the institution. During her seven year tenure at MSU, total private giving almost doubled while the fundraising staff tripled in size. She also assisted in the creation and successful implementation of the first ever capital campaign at MSU in honor of the 75th anniversary of the institution. At the University of Kentucky, she assisted with the $1,000,000,000 Campaign for the University of Kentucky, Phase II: Dream, Challenge, Succeed, as a regional gift officer in Central Development and director of development for the College of Engineering. She also served as campaign officer for the University of Evansville. Her broad base of experience has ranged from advancement services, to annual giving and major gifts for extended campuses.

Leigh received her BBA in Marketing Management from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and her MEd in Human Resource Development from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University. She has stayed very active in civic and professional organizations on the local, district and national levels. She served on the board for CASE-Kentucky and as Chair and Co-chair of several CASE Conferences, receiving the Faculty Star Award in 2005.

Leigh has served as a keynote speaker, session leader, and facilitator for workshops and seminars in many cities and more than 70 college and university campuses in North America, including numerous state and national conferences. Her topics have included team building, effectively utilizing personality profiles, incorporating change, managing volunteers and annual giving.
