Lisa began her career in international non-profit fundraising serving Prince Charles in London for The Prince’s Youth Business Trust. Upon returning to the States, she worked at her alma mater, Kenyon College and then Haverford College honing her skills in annual giving eventually culminating as the Director of Annual Giving. In 1996, Lisa moved to Louisville and worked at Kentucky Country Day School overseeing the development, alumni relations and marketing departments and managing a $7.5 million capital campaign for the school. At the Alzheimer’s Association for Kentucky and Southern Indiana, she managed a regional development team and participated in major gift requests with the regional board members. With a consulting group, she has also provided strategic and operating advisory services to local and national organizations, including Sons of the American Revolution, The Stephen Foster Story, Historic Locust Grove, Walden School and Louisville Nature Center.

Always liking challenges, Lisa served as campaign manager for the Speed Art Museum’s Capital Campaign which was initially set at $25 million and grew to $60 million in raised funds. During this time she took on additional responsibilities first overseeing the development, volunteer, and event departments. Over her eight-year tenure at the Speed her responsibilities expanded to overseeing marketing and communication, public affairs, education, university relations, human resources, protection services, IT and building facilities. She became Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Director and also chaired a three-person team while the museum was searching for a new CEO. One of her greatest learning experiences revolved around the building of the new Speed in overseeing the hiring of the international architect and construction company and managing the project manager for the expansion.

Most recently Lisa served as Chief External Affairs Officer and part of a three-person C-Suite level team at Kentucky Science Center. Her responsibilities included development, marketing and communications and membership. During her tenure her focus was on increasing community and corporate collaborations, working with the Board in development, marketing and governance functions and laying the groundwork for an eventual campaign.

Lisa currently serves as a charter trustee and executive committee member of the Gund Art Gallery Museum and board member of Kentucky to the World. She is a past board trustee of Kenyon College where earlier she was a two-year chair of its annual fund. Lisa is also a past board director at Actors Theater of Louisville where she also served as president of its young leadership organization and former development chair at KMAC.

Lisa lives in Louisville with her husband and three boys, enjoys cooking, loves the local food scene and is trying to learn more about gardening.
