A Mount Sterling native, Laura Zolman’s heart has always been in Kentucky – even as she worked across the country in North Carolina and California.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in creative writing from Centre College and brings more than a decade of writing, editing, and content strategy experience. She has served as the content manager/customer lifecycle manager for Napa-based, fine-wine marketplace Vinfolio, food-and-beverage editor for national restaurant business-to-business magazines QSR and FSR, and editor for community publications Chapel Hill Magazine, Durham Magazine, and Mebane Enterprise.
A creative, curious, and data-driven marketer, Laura has a strong intuition for communication strategies that nurture customer relationships and a proven track record in increasing engagement rates and driving revenue growth. She joined Ashley|Rountree in December 2023 and is excited to apply her marketing and communications expertise to support nonprofits.
After moving back to Lexington, Kentucky in 2021, Laura quickly connected with local service opportunities. A Ruling Elder at Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church, she chairs its active Mission Committee, facilitating fundraising and volunteer initiatives for the congregation. She is most proud of the committee’s successful revitalization of Thursday Night Meals back to in-person service in August 2023. Her leadership efforts have activated more than 50 volunteers for the ministry, and she currently serves as the volunteer coordinator to ensure consistent availability for this crucial hunger mission. Additionally, Laura volunteers as a Canine Counselor team with her nine-year-old lab-mix Winston, offering comfort and support to about 10 patients weekly at Kentucky Children’s Hospital.
