Mary Bainbridge

Mary Bainbridge brings a wealth of experience in grant writing, fundraising, and nonprofit management. Much of her career has been focused on the arts, including fundraising for the Speed Art Museum and Actors Theatre of Louisville. Most recently, she served as the Assistant Director of the Office of Sponsored Programs at Spalding University. Mary is passionate about sharing resources with artists, faculty, and nonprofit organizations to empower everyone with the skills to fundraise for their work.

Mary has written grant applications ranging from $5,000 to $5 million to foundation, corporate, and government funders. She has generated more than $5 million in funding for nonprofits and universities across the Louisville community.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Louisville and earned the Justice Bier Award for the outstanding art history graduate in her year. Outside of fundraising, Mary loves spending time with her partner and one-year-old daughter. They enjoy visiting art museums and getting outdoors to run, hike, and rock climb.
